Privacy Policy for Timefall

Last Updated: January 24, 2026

1. Introduction

Timefall ("the App") is an iOS meditation and mindfulness timer application developed by Ilia Usatov ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the highest standards of data security, especially when handling health-related information through Apple HealthKit integration and payment processing through Apple's StoreKit.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data We Do NOT Collect

Timefall is designed with privacy-first principles. We do NOT:

  • Use analytics or tracking services: We do not use Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or any other third-party analytics services to track your behavior within the app.
  • Collect advertising data: We do not collect data for advertising purposes and do not use your data to serve ads.
  • Require personal accounts: We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email, phone number, or other personal identifiers (PII).
  • Store user data on our servers: We do not maintain servers for user data storage. All app data remains on your device.
  • Use cookies or tracking technologies: We do not use cookies, pixels, web beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

2.2 Technical Data (Stored Locally on Your Device Only)

The App collects only the following technical data, which is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Session duration: How long you practice mindfulness during each session
  • Number of sessions: Count of completed meditation sessions
  • Settings preferences: Your app configuration choices (theme, notification settings, reminder preferences, etc.)

This data is used solely to improve your experience within the App and is never transmitted to external servers maintained by the Developer.

2.3 Health Data and Apple HealthKit Integration

2.3.1 Purpose of HealthKit Integration

Timefall integrates with Apple HealthKit to help you track your mindfulness practice in one central place on your device. Specifically:

  • The App requests write-only access to the "Mindful Minutes" category in Apple Health
  • When you complete a meditation session, the App can record the duration as Mindful Minutes in your Health app
  • This allows you to see all your mindfulness activity consolidated with your other health data on your device

2.3.2 What We Do NOT Do With Health Data

This is critical: Timefall does NOT read your existing health data. We do not access:

  • Your pulse, heart rate, or cardiac data
  • Your weight, body measurements, or metabolic data
  • Your sleep records or sleep analysis
  • Your exercise or physical activity data
  • Any other medical or biometric information stored in Apple Health

We only write data about your mindfulness sessions. We do not read any data from the Health app.

2.3.3 No Use of Health Data for Advertising or Data Mining

In accordance with Apple's App Store guidelines, we explicitly commit to the following:

Data obtained from HealthKit or sent to HealthKit will NEVER be used for:

  • Marketing or advertising purposes
  • Data mining or behavioral profiling
  • Sharing with third-party data brokers or advertisers
  • Training machine learning models without your explicit consent
  • Any purpose unrelated to improving your ability to manage your health

We do not and will not transmit your HealthKit data to advertising networks, social media platforms, or any external analytics services.

2.3.4 Data Storage and Synchronization

  • Your Mindful Minutes data is synced exclusively within Apple's HealthKit ecosystem on your device
  • You maintain complete control over this data through the Health app
  • You can delete any recorded sessions directly through the Health app at any time
  • Deleting the Timefall App does not delete data already recorded in Health—that remains under your control

2.4 Payment Processing and Apple StoreKit

Important Note: Timefall uses Apple's StoreKit to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. This involves data transmission to Apple:

2.4.1 What Data is Transmitted to Apple

When you make a purchase or subscribe through the App, the following data is transmitted to Apple's servers for payment processing:

  • Your Apple ID identifier (not your email or personal name)
  • Transaction information (which subscription/purchase you selected)
  • Purchase amount and currency
  • Transaction date and time
  • Device identifier (for purchase validation)

This data transmission is necessary to enable the core functionality of in-app purchases and subscriptions and is governed by Apple's own privacy policies, not by this Privacy Policy.

2.4.2 Apple's Data Handling

  • Apple is a third-party payment processor and collects this data to process your payment and manage your subscription
  • Apple does not share payment data with the Developer (Timefall)
  • Apple's privacy practices are separate from ours and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at

    Please see the Timefall Privacy

  • The Developer does not have access to your payment methods, credit card information, or detailed transaction history

2.4.3 Developer Access to Purchase Data

The Developer receives only minimal, anonymized information from Apple:

  • Confirmation that a purchase or subscription occurred (receipt validation)
  • General subscription status (active/inactive/expired)
  • Purchase date for your records

The Developer does NOT receive:

  • Your Apple ID
  • Your payment method information
  • Your full transaction history
  • Your personal financial information
  • Any data beyond what is necessary to validate your subscription status

2.4.4 Subscription Management

For information about how your subscription data is processed by Apple, please review:

2.5 Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all data is stored locally on your device and not transmitted to our servers, no child data is maintained by the Developer.

3. How We Use Your Data

3.1 Local App Functionality

We use the technical data collected within the App to:

  • Provide you with personalized meditation sessions
  • Track your progress over time
  • Improve the user interface and fix bugs
  • Enhance overall App performance
  • Verify subscription status for premium feature access

3.2 No Analytics, Crash Reporting, or Telemetry

We do not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs (such as Firebase, Sentry, Mixpanel, or Crashlytics). All error handling and diagnostics are performed locally on your device to ensure maximum privacy.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

4.1 Local Data Retention

  • All session data and preferences are stored locally on your device
  • Data persists until you manually delete the App or clear the App's data through iOS Settings
  • Uninstalling the App will delete all local data associated with it

4.2 HealthKit Data Retention

  • Data synced to HealthKit remains there indefinitely unless you delete it through the Health app
  • Deleting the Timefall App does NOT automatically delete data from Health
  • You can manage and delete individual sessions or all HealthKit data through the Health app's privacy and data management interface

4.3 Apple StoreKit and Payment Data

  • Your purchase and subscription data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's data retention policies
  • The Developer does not maintain long-term copies of your payment data
  • For questions about Apple's data retention, contact Apple Support

4.4 Account Deletion

Timefall does not require you to create an account. All data is stored locally on your device. There is nothing to delete on the Developer's servers because we maintain no user databases.

If you wish to delete all your data:

  1. In iOS Settings, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Timefall
  2. Tap Delete App and select Delete App
  3. For HealthKit data, open the Health app, navigate to your Mindful Minutes entries, and delete them directly
  4. For subscription management, visit your Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions > Timefall and manage your subscription

5. Your Privacy Rights

5.1 Control Over Your Data

You have full control over your data:

  • HealthKit permissions: You can revoke write access to HealthKit at any time in Settings > Privacy > Health
  • Notifications: You can disable app notifications through iOS Settings
  • App Data: You can delete all local app data by uninstalling the App. Note that deleting the App does NOT delete data previously written to Apple Health; you must delete that data directly in the Apple Health app
  • Subscription Data: You can manage your subscription and payment data through your Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions

5.2 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and GDPR Rights

If you are a resident of California, the EU, or a jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you have additional rights:

  • Right to Know: You can request what data is collected about you by the Developer. Since we collect no PII and store everything locally on your device, this is limited to your own session data. For Apple's payment data, contact Apple directly.
  • Right to Delete: You can delete your app data by uninstalling the App or through Health app controls
  • Right to Opt-Out: Since we do not sell or share your data with third parties (except Apple for payment processing), there is nothing to opt out of
  • Do Not Sell My Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone except Apple (for payment processing as described above)

6. Security

We take security seriously:

  • All local data remains encrypted on your device using iOS native encryption
  • We do not maintain servers or databases that could be breached
  • We do not transmit your health or personal data (except to Apple via StoreKit for payment processing, which is necessary for subscriptions)
  • Payment data is transmitted to Apple's secure servers using industry-standard encryption
  • The App uses HTTPS for any communication with Apple's services

7. Third-Party Services Summary
